While our tuners are able to clear emission-related codes, including permanent ones, it&apos;s still best practice to clear all codes possible before installing the tune.If you have only emission-related codes present, it should not be an issue. However, if there are other codes present, they must be removed/cleared before installing the tunes. If you are unsure how to clear the codes or need assistance, we recommend taking your truck to a professional diesel mechanic who can help you clear them before installing the tunes.Please note that our tuner will clear any emission-related codes, but we still recommend clearing them before installing the tunes.
