EFI LIVE : What Do i do first? Tunes or Hard Parts?Updated 2 years ago

The process is :

1. Install the delete tunes

2. Install the Delete pipe

3. Delete the EGR ( Optional )

This is what we suggest, but is not the ONLY WAY to get the tunes installed.

You want the delete tunes to be loaded on before you rip off the hard parts. This is for a few good reasons. The first one being we want to ensure the tune installation was done successfully. If there was a error message or anything wrong with the tunes... You at least have a drivable truck until we can sort out what the error is! The second reason is when you remove the hard parts before installing the tunes, you will see some DTC codes.. We want to install the tuner without any codes present, this is the least problematic way to get this installed.

If you have already ripped everything apart, its no big deal, we can work around it. Make sure when you go to install the tunes that you clear ALL DTC codes prior to installing. if the codes are emission related, the tunes will clear them once you install them, but we still suggest that you clear the codes before.
