Do I need to clear all error codes before using a Tuner?Updated a year ago

We suggest that you have ALL codes cleared before reprogramming your ECM with our tuners. Our devices can and will eliminate emission related codes only. 

If the codes you have are not related to the emission system, you must get your truck fixed and clear the codes prior to programming and flashing the ECM. 

Emission codes can be cleared with just the flashing process, however, if you are able to clear those codes prior, you will guaranty a successful installation. 

You can use our tuners as most of them have the ability to read/clear codes. Best practice is to have your truck inspected by a professional diesel mechanic prior to installation.
